Terry A. Wapner is a well-known and respected DUI lawyer, practicing in Fresno County and many of the neighboring counties such as Madera, Merced, Stanislaus, Kings and Tulare. Mr. Wapner has dedicated his practice to the defense of person's accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. He has an impressive history of achieving client goals, i.e. winning DUI cases, winning DMV hearings, and saving driver’s licenses.

Mr. Wapner received his undergraduate degree, from the University of Southern California and his law degree from San Joaquin College of Law in Fresno.  Mr. Wapner has been practicing criminal law his entire career, starting as a criminal prosecutor with the Stansilaus County District Attorney’s Office in 1987.  Near the end of 1988, Mr. Wapner moved back to Fresno and opened his private practice, specializing in all aspects of criminal defense.  He has successfully defended clients accused of murder, drugs, gang crimes and sex offenses.  Over the past several years, his practice has emphasized defending people who have been charged with DUI, and DUI related crimes.  He has significant trial experience and understands the importance of announcing to the Judge and DA, “I’m ready for trial, your honor.”

Mr. Wapner is a member of the National College of DUI Defense, the California DUI Lawyers Association, and the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Bar Association of Fresno County.

Mr. Wapner has successfully completed training in both the Student and Instructor Courses for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) DUI Detection Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Program and regularly and frequently attends conferences on all aspects of DUI law.
